AC COPS RESPOND TO ARMED ROBBERY CALL, ASSAULTED BY SUSPECT

Two Atlantic City Police Officers were assaulted while responding to an armed robbery call. Police responded to the Fox Manor Motel, located at 2707 Pacific Ave. The officers entered the motel went to the stairwell where they saw Walter Washington. Washington immediately shoved Officer Oliver-Logan against a wall and attempted to run away. The officers were able to grab on to Washington and prevent his escape. Washington refused to be arrested and resisted arrest. After a struggle, Washington was placed in custody.
