911 TAPE RELEASED FROM COLD SPRING FATAL SHOOTING

On Tuesday The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office released the 911 tapes from the shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Cold Spring that claimed the life of 21 year-old James Weaver, Jr. About 40 minutes of 911 calls were released by Prosecutor Robert Taylor, including the frantic call for help from the woman of the house off Route 109. Her husband, 56 year-old Richard Ewing, was reportedly warning Weaver that he had a gun prior to the shooting. Taylor said that Weaver was found to be physically in the house when he was shot in the front of the head with a single bullet. Ewing has not been charged with any crime as the investigation is ongoing.
