Another deceased whale has washed onshore, this time in Lido Beach on Long Island NY. The discovery Monday of an adult humpback male marks the eighth whale since early December to wash up in the New York-New Jersey region. An investigation is ongoing as to why the aquatic mammals have been dying, some are questioning if studies related to offshore wind power projects could be a cause. NOAA says they have no proof the projects are causing the deaths.
