A local doctor and six others were indicted for illegal prescription drug distribution. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Doctor Alan Faustino and six others are facing charges related to law enforcement recovering numerous fraudulent prescription scripts and approximately 1000 oxycodone pills that were either purchased or fraudulently prescribed. Faustino was indicted on 10 criminal counts, including for being a Leader of a Narcotics Trafficking Network—a crime of the 1st degree. A conviction for this crime carries a potential penalty of life imprisonment during which the person must serve 25 years before becoming eligible for parole.
