On Easter Sunday a special dinner was held for the hungry, organized by a 6 year-old girl with autism. FOX-29 News aired a feature report on Alyssa Playford, who was responsible for a special Easter dinner served in Wildwood. Alyssa has wanted to help the hungry since the age of two, according to her mother Dawn. That’s when Alyssa saw a family at a grocery store checkout short of cash, and she asked what she could do to help. Caring for Kids and the Salvation Army donated $10,000 worth of food for the dinner, served at a local restaurant to about 200 needy people.
