On Sunday more than 100 runners participated in the ninth annual Every Breath Counts 5K Run in Ocean City. The event took place along the Ocean City High School track and the streets of the city to raise money for lung cancer awareness. NBC-40 reported that Congressman Frank LoBiondo and his wife Tina were in attendance due to a personal connection. Mrs. LoBiondo lost both parents to lung cancer, the leading cancer killer but the least funded type of the disease in research money. Race organizers estimated that between $20,000 and $25,000 was raised for during the event.
