A large-scale child pornography crackdown in New Jersey has resulted in the arrest of 40 people, from every county in the state. Authorities will announce details of the arrests on Thursday, including the identities of the defendants, all of whom are charged with possession of child pornography and most with distribution. N.J. State Police said the investigation, called “Operation Statewide”, gathered information on the suspects from scanning the internet to see who was sharing the illegal files across the state.
