Lavallette has spent $387,000 for a new lifeguard station, and now it’s closed due to mold. Lavallette officials closed the new building shortly after it opened due to the presence of mold inside the building. Mayor Walter LaCicero told the Asbury Park Press that there is the potential for litigation in connection with this new building.
