339 BEARS KILLED DURING FIRST HALF OF EXTENDED BEAR HUNT IN STATE

More than half of the bears killed during last year’s bear hunting season have been killed during the first half of this year’s season. The bow-and-arrow three day session saw 339 bears killed this year versus 510 last year in total. There is another three day season through this Saturday that includes bow-and-arrow and muzzleloaders. All of this hunting is going on in North Jersey.
