The Environmental Protection Agency has recommended that 31 Vineland residents who were evacuated from their homes last week, should not return for another two weeks. That’s how long it will take to complete the removal of 12,000 pounds of ammonia from a faulty refrigeration system at South Jersey Ice and Cold Storage. Twenty-five of the displaced residents are staying in local hotels until the threat of an ammonia leak has passed.
