This November, as you watch the final table of the World Series of Poker on ESPN, a man from North Cape May will be among the players. Tommy Cannuli, a 23 year-old resident of North Cape May, has qualified for the final table at the WSOP’s No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, to be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in November. Cannuli, who graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School in 2010, is one of the final nine players, after surviving a seven-day tournament with more than 6,400 entrants. The local card shark is guaranteed slightly more than $1 million in prize money as a finalist, with a $7.68 million check for the overall winner.
