$2 MILLION IN GREEN ACRES FUNDING COMING TO CAPE MAY COUNTY

New Jersey state officials announced on Tuesday that $123 million in Green Acres Funding will be dedicated to recreation projects and open space. $2 million of the funding is coming to Cape May County. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Freeholder Director Gerry Thorton said the county has encouraged municipalities and nonprofits to use the funding. It is the final round of available funds approved by voters as a $400 million Bond Act in 2009.
