$1 MILLION BAIL REMAINS IN PLACE AFTER HEARING

The bail for an accused killer stands at $1 million after a court hearing on Monday. One of the men charged in the death of local rapper Zooty Bang, confessed to the shooting but claims he acted in self defense. Judge Max Baker denied a motion to lower the bail for 19 year-old Hasan Bruce, charged along with his brother 22 year-old Jamal for the June 18th murder of Mays Landing resident Zachary Taylor. Bruce has a long rap sheet, including seven arrests as a juvenile.
