The Philadelphia Eagles horrible season got a bit worse Monday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that tight end Zach Ertz is out a month with a high ankle sprain, and running back Miles Sanders will likely miss Thursday night’s game against the Giants with a knee injury.
The Philadelphia Eagles are allowing fans back at Lincoln Financial Field. A total of 7,500 people will be allowed at the field starting this Sunday, and that figure includes coaches, players, and other support staff. The Eagles have one victory in five games this season, and have one tie.
The high school winter sports landscape will look much different this year. The New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association announced that winter sports teams will play only 15 games this season, and as of now, no spectators will be allowed as capacity limits will be enforced. The playoffs will also start in early February.
A graduate of Wildwood High School has coached the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th NBA championship. Frank Vogel led the Lakers to a 106-93 win over the Miami Heat Sunday night to win the title in six games. Vogel is a 1991 graduate of Wildwood High.

The State of Pennsylvania is relaxing some of its regulations regarding outdoor gatherings, and that means a small number of fans will be able to attend Eagles games, and other outdoor sporting events, in person. The new regulations would permit up to 7,500 fans to attend Eagles games at Lincoln Financial Field.
Doc Rivers will become the new head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Multiple media reports Thursday night say both sides have agreed to terms, but they have not been disclosed. The Battle by the Bay basketball tournament in Atlantic City will not happen this winter. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the tournament has been scrubbed due to uncertainty over the Covid-19 pandemic. The tournament annually features some of the best teams in the area and raises scholarship funding.
