Five years, $170 million for the Philadelphia 76ers’ Ben Simmons. Simmons and the Sixers have agreed on a max contract that will keep Simmons on the team and the highest paid player on the team.
The Philadelphia 76ers signed and traded Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat, but then picked up big man Al Horford and wing player Josh Richardson. Horford agreed to a four year, $109 million contract with the Sixers.
Forward Tobias Harris will stay with the Philadelphia 76ers, getting a huge five year, $180 million deal on Sunday night. The Sixers are losing one of the top players, J. J. Redick, who has signed a two year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Frank Lucchesi died over the weekend at the age of 92. Lucchesi was hired to become the manager of the Phillies in the 1970 season. He also coached for Texas, and the Chicago Cubs. Lucchesi lasted three years as Phillies manager.
The Philadelphia Eagles are all in on quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz signed a four year contract extension worth a reported $128 million, with over $107 million in guaranteed money. This locked up Wentz in Eagles green through the 2024 season.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. McCutchen was hurt during a game Monday night in San Diego. At first, the team thought it was a knee sprain but as it turns out..a season ending injury.
