It was a milestone night for the Middle Township High School wrestling program. David Giulian notched his 100th career victory last night as Middle Township defeated Cedar Creek, 56-24. Former Wildwood Catholic boys basketball star Taj Thweatt has entered the NCAA transfer protocol and will leave West Virginia for Coastal Carolina. There were some mixed results for local teams at the annual Seagull Classic basketball tournament this weekend. Camden Catholic boys crushed Wildwood Catholic Academy, 72-22. In girls’ action, Macie McCracken had 33 points as Wildwood knocked off Our Lady of Mercy Academy, 74-62.

The Wildwood boys basketball team ended the Boardwalk Basketball Classic with a victory over Oakcrest. In a Crest Savings Bank showcase game played Friday morning, Wildwood knocked off Oakcrest, 56-46. In the final girls game, Timber Creek outlasted Ocean City, 35-34.
