The Philadelphia Eagles and offensive lineman Jason Peters are parting ways. The Eagles released a statement today saying that both sides have mutually agreed that Peters will hit the open market when free agency begins later this month. Peters has played left tackle for the Eagles.

The Middle Township girls’ basketball team advanced in the South Jersey Group II playoffs Tuesday. The Lady Panthers defeated Oakcrest, 60-40. Kira Sides and Kate Herlihy each scored 27 points. The boys’ team fell in round one, losing to West Deptford, 56-53.
The Wildwood boys basketball team knocked off cross county rival Cape May Tech in the opening game of the South Jersey Group I playoffs Monday night on WCZT. Wildwood defeated Tech, 76-61. The Wildwood Catholic boys basketball team has won the Cape Atlantic League basketball championship. Wildwood Catholic crushed St. Augustine, 70-39 in a game broadcast live on WCZT. Taj Thweatt scored 24 points and missed only one shot; Jahlil White added 17 points for the Crusaders.
Lance Bailey is returning as head football coach at Lower Cape May Regional High School.
