The Wildwood Catholic basketball program gets on national television Saturday evening. Wildwood Catholic will battle The Patrick School in Toms River in a game to be broadcast nationally on ESPN3. It’s all part of the Metro Classic showcase weekend.
The Philadelphia 76ers are swinging a trade with the Golden State Warriors, according to ESPN. Today is the NBA trade deadline, and the Sixers are reportedly acquiring Glen Robinson III and Alex Burks for three draft picks. Robinson is the key to the trade and averages nearly 13 points per game.

Wildwood Catholic basketball star Gabby Turco hit the 1000 point career milestone Saturday as the Lady Crusaders defeated Atlantic City, 51-46. Turco finished the night with 19 points and a dozen rebounds. In boys’ action, Seton Hall Prep got an easy win over Wildwood Catholic, 64-44 at the Battle by the Bay in Atlantic City.
The Middle Township boys basketball team picked up a key win on the road Friday night. Jeremiah Camacho hit a three pointer with under three seconds left to give Middle a 48-45 win over the cross county rivals. T.J. Harris scored 17 points for the Panthers.
One of the best rivalries this season is between the girls’ basketball programs at Wildwood Catholic and Middle Township high schools. The Philadelphia Eagles have lost a very valuable member of their front office. Andrew Berry is leaving the Eagles to become the new general manager of the Cleveland Browns. Berry was with the Browns before coming to the Eagles more than one year ago.
