An outstanding season for the Middle Township girls basketball team came to an end Monday night. Manchester Township defeated Middle Township in the South Jersey Group II championship game, 52-39. Kate Herlihy topped the Lady Panthers in scoring with 13 points. Destiny Adams scored 21 points for Manchester.
Wildwood Catholic advanced to the South Jersey Non Public B championship basketball game Saturday by defeating Mater Dei, 79-52. The Crusaders will now play Rutgers Prep for the championship Wednesday afternoon at 5:00pm. Rutgers Prep is 27-1 and the top seed in the bracket. Martin Angeulov scored his 1,000th career point in the victory.
