The Wildwood City Commission meets on Wednesday and is expected to consider a new ordinance that would allow bars to operate in additional zones in the city. The Commission may introduce a new ordinance that would allow bars in the P, BA, and B zones. Wednesday’s meeting begins at 3:30pm.
The Raging Waters water park on Morey’s Schellenger Landing pier goes to the dogs, literally, on Sunday. Sunday is the final day for the water park to be open and Morey’s Piers invites dog owners to bring their canines for some water fun. Proceeds from the event benefit a local animal charity.

Authorities have identified the 35 year old Pennsylvania man who drowned while trying to save the lives of two children in the surf near Wildwood Sunday. Hany Mohamed disappeared in the ocean while trying to save the lives of his two children; the children were rescued by lifeguards.

A 35 year old man from Middletown, Pennsylvania drowned off the Leaming Avenue beach in Wildwood Sunday afternoon. City police say the body of the man was ultimately found floating in the water at Rambler Avenue in Wildwood Crest. The identity of the victim has not been released. ##
