WILDWOODS MAY LOOK AT SWEEPING SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT

North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest are collectively applying for a state grant that would finance a feasibility study into a sweeping shared services agreement that would encompass paid fire and emergency rescue services.  The three communities are applying for a Challenge Grant; there is over $3 million in various grant funding in this program.

President Donald Trump was on Twitter this morning and mentioned his appearance in Wildwood last night.  The President tweeted shortly after 6:30am Wednesday that there were 175,000 ticket requests for his rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center, and “Keep America Great”.  He also thanked an individual on Twitter who called Trump the “Greatest President”.

FORMER WILDWOOD FIRE CHIEF JOHN D’AMICO, 82

Funeral services will be held tomorrow for former longtime Wildwood Fire Department Chief John D’Amico.  D’Amico passed away Sunday at the age of 82.  D’Amico was the chief of the Wildwood Fire Department for 13 years, and also owned the Planter Peanut Shop on the Wildwood boardwalk.
