Police in Wildwood Crest have charged a 22 year old man in connection with a hit and run accident. Police say Jesse J. Kennedy of Philadelphia is accused of leaving the scene of an accident and with being under the influence. The accident took place one week ago on Ocean Avenue.
Police in Wildwood Crest charged 30 year old Megan E. McDevitt with burglary, theft and other offenses after receiving a report of suspicious activity in the 7100 block of Seaview Avenue. Police say McDevitt stole some personal belongings of other individuals. McDevitt also struggled with police as she attempted to discard hypodermic syringes.

Officials in Wildwood Crest will be celebrating some new additions to Sunrise Park on June 25th, including the installation of a new splash park. A new outdoor fitness area along with playground equipment, seating, and bike racks are all part of the improvements.
Time to pay to park in Wildwood Crest, as of Saturday. Crest Police announced on social media that parking meters will be turned on and working as of Saturday. The meters are on from 8:00am until 10:00pm; the Crest uses the ParkMobile system to pay for parking.
Wildwood Crest now has a smoke-free beach. Borough officials announced that smoking has been prohibited from the beaches as the town attempts to prohibit smoking cannabis on public property. Previous designated areas for smoking have been eliminated.
