The threat of heavy rain this evening has again postponed the 2U concert in Wildwood Crest this evening. The U2 tribute band is now scheduled to perform on Thursday, August 31st at Centennial Park. “Don’t Call Me Francis” is still scheduled to play Saturday evening. ##

Wildwood Crest Police have arrested a 35 year old local woman with allegedly taking credit cards and jewelry stolen from a local motel room. Police announced that Kimberly Mcallister allegedly stole the merchandise and used the stolen credit cards at a local convenience store. She was lodged at the County Jail. ##
it was a very close finish in the 10th Annual Wildwood Crest 5K Beach race on Saturday. Crest officials say 33 year old Ben Feins of New York beat three other runners at the finish to win the event. There was a wet beach and light drizzle during the event. ## Photo by Brian Cunniff
Wildwood Crest has postponed its U2 tribute band concert scheduled for Saturday night due to the gloomy weather. The Crest announced that the band has been rescheduled to perform on Friday, August 18th at Centennial Park. ##
One of the biggest athletic events in Wildwood Crest this summer will be held on Saturday. The annual 5K Beach Race will kick off Saturday at 8:30am, and good weather is in the forecast. Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 participants in the event, and spots are available. ##
A bonus concert in Wildwood Crest tonight. The Wildwood Crest Department of Recreation is hosting a concert with the Fabulous Greaseband at Centennial Park tonight at 7:30pm. The concert was rained out earlier this year and has been rescheduled. ##

The Crest Recreation Department announced that the Fabulous Greaseband will perform Friday night at Centennial Park to make up a date that was rained out; on Saturday night, the Glimmer Twins, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will perform at the same park.
