Wildwood Crest will soon require permit tags in order for residents and property owners to use the recycling center. Officials announced that the permits will be required as of Saturday, July 14th. They are free of charge to all residents and property owners and are available at the Nesbitt Tourism Information Center.
The first Wildwood Crest Summer Concert of the season has been postponed due to the threat of storms in our area. The Chatterband was supposed to former Sunday night in the Crest; the concert will be rescheduled at a date to be determined later this summer.
Wildwood Crest will kick off its summer concert series with a live performance by the Chatterband on Sunday night at Centennial Park. The weekly summer concert series will begin in late June in the Crest. The Chatterband is one of the longest-running and most popular bands in our region.
Wildwood Crest Police have charged a 19 year old woman with making false claims to police. The woman is identified as Molly R. Doyle who called police to say that her boyfriend was suicidal, and he was armed with a weapon. The call was made on May 9th, and turned out to be untrue.
Downtown business expert Roger Brooks will participate in the Wildwood Crest Commission meeting on Thursday. Brooks will be meeting this week with stakeholders involved in the potential redevelopment of part of New Jersey Avenue in the Borough. Thursday’s Commission meeting will be held at 9:30am.
