Two people from Philadelphia were arrested and charged by Wildwood Crest Police after their vehicle failed to slow down and struck a wooden barrier. Police say the driver of the vehicle was charged with driving while intoxicated; the driver also had drugs and a weapon in his possession.
36 year old Lori Zamichieli of Wildwood Crest was charged by Borough police with DUI and other offenses following a traffic stop Sunday evening. Crest Police announced on its social media page that authorities found knives, suspected marijuana, and hash oil inside her car. Zamichieli was released on a summons.
The Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol won another competition last night, this time in Avalon. The Crest outpointed Avalon by a single point to win the Kerr Memorials. Avalon had won the competition for the past eight years. This is the fourth victory for the Crest Beach patrol this season.
Wildwood Crest Police have charged 49 year old Christopher Daggett of Cape May with an aggravated sexual assault that occurred in a private residence last month. Police announced on their social media page that Daggett was charged and taken to the Cape May County Jail.
