Two Upper Township residents have been charged with distributing meth and heroin. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced that 36 year old Jacob Obrikin and 30 year old Amy Genre were charged with various drug offenses. If guilty, both could face years in a State Prison.

The freeholders meet Tuesday afternoon and have a resolution before the board that would support the request. Currently, motorists can only get off the Parkway at Exit 20 in the northbound direction.

A 65 year old woman from Upper Township was killed Monday morning during a motor vehicle accident on Route 9. State Police say Rebecca Babyak was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred Monday around 8:00am during rainy conditions.
State Police have confirmed the recovery of a body at the All Seasons Marina in Upper Township. Police say the body was found on the shoreline near the marina on Sunday afternoon, according to the Press of Atlantic City. The body was taken to Shore Memorial Hospital where an autopsy will be performed.
