Sea Isle City has decided to close its Community Lodge and the former public school/recreation building due to coronavirus. The Mayor will be holding a meeting with the business community Monday afternoon to discuss the current coronavirus climate.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy participated in the annual run/walk for autism in Sea Isle City on Sunday. The event was held one day after the annual polar bear plunge that brings tens of thousands of people to Sea Isle City every President’s Day weekend.
The new Sea Isle City municipal budget is not expected to include a tax increase this year. Mayor Len Desiderio announced that there is also no proposed increase to water and sewer rates this year. He also says a new pickle ball court will be coming to a tennis court at Dealy Field.
It’s polar bear plunge weekend in Sea Isle City. Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to be in the community for the big event that takes place at 12 Noon on Saturday. Sunshine, with temperatures in the 30s are in the forecast for the plunge. It takes place at the 40th Street beach.
Sea Isle City is now dispatching fire, police, and rescue services to all fire calls. The Press of Atlantic City reports that these practices have been put in place after some recent house fires; one included a fatality. Officials say other changes are being considered but would not go in to detail about them.
