The Avalon Police Department closed the roadway leading to the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge. The closing came shortly before 9am Thursday in advance of the high tide, which may run higher than normal due to the storm. The road will be reopened when it is safe to do so.

The Sea Isle City Police Department has added two new officers. The Department’s social media page reports that officers Josh Rinck and Cooper Gallagher were both officially sworn in to their permanent positions on Monday. Sea Isle City is in the process of repainting the city’s water tower. Allied Painting of Cherry Hill was given a contract worth over $600,000 to repaint the tower which will help extend the life of the structure. Protective shielding has been placed around the tower in advance of the work.
The Townsend’s Inlet Bridge between Avalon and Sea Isle City will be closed Friday night into early Saturday morning. The bridge is being closed to reduce traffic to one lane in advance of a railing replacement project. The one lane will be directed by a traffic control device.
