Sea Isle City is planning a new kayak launch facility at Dealy Field. The city announced that the concept will be ADA compliant and include a passive pier for wildlife viewing. The city is applying for the various permits needed for the facility.
The County’s elevation project of Sea Isle Boulevard may essentially conclude by the end of this year. Another offseason construction project for the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge between Avalon and Sea Isle City. The bridge is scheduled to close for construction on September 17th and remain closed until the third week of May. There will be four construction projects on the bridge, including some major work on the Avalon side of the span.
Ocean City and Sea Isle City have extended their agreement for a shared business administrator. George Savastano will hold down the job in both communities through the end of June, 2022. Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian says Savastano has been very effective with budget control and capital project management.
