A police officer in Hamilton Township was injured Sunday morning when his police cruiser was struck in the rear by another motor vehicle driven by a Bridgeton man. Brady’s vehicle suffered significant damage; he was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Governor-elect Phil Murphy paid a visit to the Wildwood Convention Center on Sunday. Murphy is making appearances around the state in advance of his inauguration on Tuesday. Murphy spoke about veterans’ affairs and other issues during his visit.
A former FBI agent from Atlantic County announced over the weekend that he intends to seek the congressional seat currently held by republican Frank LoBiondo. Cape May City Police announced on social media that they have identified and arrested two women who shoplifted at a Cape May clothing store back on December 20th. Police have not yet identified the two women who are seen in a store surveillance video.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is investigating the possibility of a full interchange at Exit 20 of the Garden State Parkway. The issue was brought up last week at an Upper Township Committee meeting. Turnpike officials say the study is not yet complete.
Two 14 year old boys have been charged with arson following an investigation into a fire at a city school. The Daily Journal reports that the teens started the fire in a boys’ bathroom. The fire activated the school’s sprinkler system; there were no injuries.
