It is likely that democrat Andy Kim will capture the 3rd District Congressional election. Kim holds a lead over MacArthur by 3,424 and there are still just over 6,000 provisional ballots to count. MacArthur would need a vast majority of those provisionals in order to claim victory.
New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin says a bill is coming in Trenton that will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Coughlin says the bill is a few months away and will gradually phase in the new higher minimum wage. A vote by the Assembly is possible next month.
A two year old boy from Southampton was found dead in a pond Friday, about 200 yards away from the family home. New Jersey State Police say the initial call came in around 11am, and the boy’s body was found a short time later. The victim has been identified as Adam Reed.

Governor Phil Murphy has signed a new gun control bill into law. The new bill eliminates ghost guns that can be assembled at home with untraceable elements. 3D printable guns are also banned; anyone with one could face up to five years in prison.
