The Exit 38 ramp off the southbound Garden State Parkway heading east towards Atlantic City will be closed Monday night. Officials say the ramp will be shut down until Tuesday at 5:00pm during the overnight hours for ongoing improvements. There will be a posted detour.

Pleasantville Police confirm one man is dead and two other adults were injured during a shooting Saturday night on Tilton Road. Police say 29 year old Josue Demosthenes was killed in the shooting that occurred shortly before 7pm. Two other adults were also shot and taken to a local hospital where they are recovering.
Senator Robert Menendez is trying to get his corruption charges tossed, for good. Attorneys for the New Jersey democrat were in court on Thursday filing the motion to get the charges dismissed now that a bribery trial ended in a hung jury. The Department of Justice has announced no plans yet to refile the charges.
Legalized sports betting in New Jersey gets its day before the United States Supreme Court on Monday. Sports betting is legal elsewhere, but not in the Garden State. A federal ban was enacted back in 1992 for sports betting in New Jersey and was sponsored by former New Jersey Senator and basketball player Bill Bradley.

One man is dead following a fire early Sunday morning in Gloucester Township. Police say the the fire broke out in the apartment and two others were critically injured. An ambulance was first to arrive at the scene and removed two of the victims before firemen arrived.

Atlantic County health officials confirm the fourth case of rabies this year, this time in a skunk in Egg Harbor Township. The skunk tested positive for rabies on December 1st; other rabies cases involved a cat, a fox, and a raccoon.
Ocean City’s boardwalk demolition will continue in December. Mayor Jay Gillian reports that the boards have been removed from 10th to 12th streets in advance of new pilings and a new boardwalk surface. The beach fill project currently underway and could wrap up by Christmas.
