North Wildwood officials are hopeful the new development on Seaport Pier will be open by Memorial Day weekend. Mayor Patrick Rosenello says the new pier will have a restaurant, bar, cafe, and a swim club. The pier has remained empty for the past 14 years after a cluster of small retail shops closed.
Injuries are reported following a crash involving two vehicles on Route 47 in Dennis Township over the weekend. State Police say a Corvette and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Tyler Road. Police have not yet released the names of the drivers or victims.

Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Linwood. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s office is investigating the discovery of the couple inside their home on Thursday. The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Authority will be auctioning off 95 vacant lots scattered throughout Atlantic City on March 28th. The properties will be packaged into 24 investment opportunities. The Authority has packaged the lots in order to generate high interest, and maximum dollars.
The Middle Township Committee is expected to hold its budget discussion during a work session meeting Monday afternoon. Township CFO Susan Quinones will participate in the presentation which will be held at Township Hall at 5:00pm, in advance of the regular Committee meeting.
North Wildwood’s council will hold a formal discussion on its municipal budget on Tuesday. Council will hold a public hearing on the spending plan before its final adoption. Council is also expected to approve various liquor licenses for the upcoming year.
North Wildwood will turn green again on Saturday for its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration and parade. A ceremony will be held on the steps of North Wildwood City Hall at 11:30am, with a parade starting a half hour later.
