There are new reports of oil washing up on some Delaware beaches. The United States Coast Guard reports that oil came up on the beaches of Towers Beach on Wednesday. The Coast Guard is helping with the cleanup; so far, there are no reports of oil on New Jersey beaches.
New Jersey has 122 new deaths from coronavirus. State officials announced the latest statistics on social media Wednesday. There were 4,582 cases of the virus reported on Wednesday. New Jersey has over 18,500 confirmed deaths from the virus.
Middle Township Police have charged two juveniles with breaking into vehicles in a Rio Grande neighborhood. Police announced Wednesday that the juveniles were arrested earlier this week after allegedly burglarizing vehicles on Secluded Lane. Police say there have been 13 reported vehicle burglaries in Shannon Oaks and Secluded Lane in recent weeks.
The public health emergency has been extended for an 11th time by Governor Phil Murphy. Murphy announced that he has extended the emergency to help the state deal with the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Murphy says the state needs to stay on “proper footing”.
Ocean City Police are asking for the public’s help with catching a man wanted for luring. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy will be in Washington, DC Wednesday. Murphy confirmed that he will attend the inauguration of Joseph Biden as the 46th President of the United States. Murphy will be back in the Garden State Wednesday afternoon.
New Jersey is reporting 54 additional deaths Tuesday from coroanvirus. State health officials say there were 3,761 people confirmed with the virus over the past 24 hours. New Jersey has provided vaccines to nearly 400,000 residents to date.
Funeral services will be held Friday for former Dennis Township Mayor Bob Grace. Grace passed away on Monday at the age of 77. Grace served as mayor of the Township twice, and also served as the director of the Township’s public works department.

Cape May County is reporting 48 new cases of coronavirus Monday. There are over 4,500 cases that are now off quarantine. Only Lower and Middle townships have over 100 active resident cases.
