Wildwood Crest announced that it will be holding a free bulk trash pickup day on March 7th. Crest residents will have four bulk trash pickup days throughout 2018. No hazardous materials, dirt, paint, or building materials will be permitted.

A 56 year old Somers Point man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for killing a man at The Walk in Atlantic City back in 2016. Luis Maisonet was sentenced to the life term on Friday. Maisonet shot and killed 26 year old Christopher Romero of Absecon.
Middle Township Police arrested three adults and one juvenile following a search warrant at a home located on Hawthorne Drive in Rio Grande. New Jersey State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday evening in Woodbine. Police say one person was shot near Franklin Street and Adams avenue. Police say there is no threat to the public; the victim was airlifted to a regional hospital.
School districts in South Jersey were dealing with various social media threats before the weekend break. Students made threats at two different school districts, including one 15 year old student who said he planned to “shoot up” West Deptford. The teen was charged with creating a false public alarm.
Vineland Police are looking for a man who swiped some cash from a tip jar at a city restaurant. The man stole the money Thursday from the Kura Thai and Shushi restaurant on East Landis Avenue. Police have released a photo of the suspect and are asking the public for leads in the case.

The Wall Street Journal reports that an additional 200 Toys R Us stores are closing. The Journal does not list the locations of the stores, but says these stores will close in addition to 182 closures that were previously announced. No Toys R Us stores are located in Cape May County.
