32 year prison terms have been handed to two men involved in the shooting of former Atlantic City Police officer Josh Vadell. Martell Chisholm and Demetris Cross were both handed the sentences for their roles in the shooting two years ago. Both men appeared before Superior Court Judge John Rauh in Atlantic County.

The state has approved six additional medical marijuana dispensaries, and two of them are in our region. State officials announced Monday that a dispensary is coming to Atlantic City, and a second dispensary to Vineland. The only other dispensary in our region is currently located in Egg Harbor Township.
Salem City Police are seeking information that leads to the arrest of the individual who shot a 23 year old man to death last week. The body of Saquion Cook Jr. was found laying in the street after being shot once. Cook was pronounced dead at the scene, according to NJ.com.
39 year old Douglas J. Petock of Sea Isle City has been arrested and charged with committing sexual assaults against a female victim over a two year period. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Petock was charged last week; he is currently being held in the Cape May County Jail on unrelated charges.
