The investigation continues into a fire that caused damage to the SIG Warehouse in Hamilton Township early Monday morning. Police say heavy smoke came from the main warehouse when fire crews arrived. Several pallets of a foam material caught fire inside the building. One employee suffered minor injuries.
This Wednesday through Friday, northbound traffic will be detoured along Route 9 in Lower Township for milling and paving work. The northbound lane of Route 9 will be closed from 7am until 5pm from Breakwater Road to Route 47. Southbound traffic will be maintained at all times.
North Wildwood Police announced Tuesday that it will participate in the annual “Operation Take Back” initiative where residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications. The program will be held in the lobby of the Department on April 28th between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
Bridgeton Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that resulted in approximately 20 shots being fired Monday night. Police say they found the casings from the bullets on South Avenue, but no shooting victims. So far, no suspects are in custody.
