A woman who worked as a detective in the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has been handed an 18 month prison term for her role in a mortgage fraud scam. 38 year old Betsy Borges was handed the term by Judge Jerome Simandle regarding a property she used to own in Mays Landing.
Governor Phil Murphy wants to make a community college education free for some New Jersey residents. Murphy spoke in North Jersey on Thursday and outlined a plan that would pump $50 million into the budget to make college free for some New Jersey families. $45 million would be allocated towards a grant program.
