Governor Phil Murphy unveiled his new $44.8 billion state budget Tuesday, and it includes no increase in taxes. The budget includes the State making the first full contribution to the pension system in decades, and includes over $4 billion in new spending. Murphy has also not dropped existing taxes on cigarettes and other products.
Lower Township Police are searching for a missing woman. 42 year old Jennifer Rose Bailey has been missing since August, 2020 after her mother contacted her via cellular phone. Bailey’s last location is unknown. Police are looking for tips as to her whereabouts.

A 32 year old man from Port Jefferson, New York has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in Avalon in July, 2018.
