A resident at the Crest Haven Nursing Home has perished as a result of contracting coronavirus. County officials announced 61 new positive tests, with most of them being residential cases. There have been over 4,200 cases of the virus in Cape May County in 2020.

Cape May County has lost an 86 year old woman from Dennis Township, and an 84 year old man from Ocean City due to coronavirus. There were 57 new positive cases reported on Tuesday. Only Cape May Point has zero residents who have Covid-19. Lower Township leads the way with 134 cases.
Lower Township Police are reporting some vehicle burglaries in North Cape May in recent days. Police say items that have been stolen include sunglasses and headphones. Police say the thefts have taken place largely between the hours of 7:00pm and 5:00am. Residents are urged to lock their vehicles.
A 20 year tax break has been granted to the developers of a new water park that will be located next to the former Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Tuesday granted the tax break that is needed to get the family entertainment complex off the ground.

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has approved the use of the Atlantic City Convention Center as a mega site for coronavirus vaccinations. The agreement allows the vaccinations to be administered as early as next month. It is one of the six sites statewide.
Middle Township Police this afternoon issued a cancellation of an attempt to identify. Yesterday, police issued a photo of a black pickup truck, thinking the occupant may have been associated with an unwelcome entry into a dwelling. Police say today there was no foul play.
