A 24 year old man from Little Egg Harbor crashed his car in Atlantic City Tuesday right after he overdosed on heroin. Authorities used Narcan to revive Daniel Cormier Tuesday night. He was eventually issued multiple motor vehicle summonses.

A memorial ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 3rd for former longtime Cape May Mayor Arthur “Mickey” Blomkvest. Blomkvest passed away Saturday at his home in South Seaville. Blomkvest served as Cape May’s Mayor from 1976-1988 after previously serving on City Council.
What many believed to be a replacement for the defunct NBC40 television newscasts is going dark next month. SNJ Today announced on its website that its nightly television newscasts will end on February 15th. The televised newscasts featured a couple of personality from the former NBC40 product.

The Avalon Borough Council approved sweeping changes to ordinances that regulate construction in the community. The new ordinance changes include adjustments in the days, hours, and holidays where construction may occur, and also holds contractors to strict compliance standards. New Jersey State Police say a long standoff ended Wednesday afternoon in Salem County after a wanted fugitive opened fire on cops. 26 year old Eric Smith was taken into custody with no injuries after United States Marshals attempted to take him. Smith fire multiple rounds; no one was struck by gunfire.
