Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian says March’s lousy weather has delayed the completion of some construction projects in the city. Gillian notes that the County’s work on the 34th Street Bridge will be completed by the beginning of May, and a Four Ward Drainage Project paving project should begin on Wednesday.

A 43 year Moorestown man was killed during a motorcycle accident on the Black Horse Pike Thursday evening. Hamilton Township Police say John Laverack’s bike struck two SUV’s that were stopped at a traffic light. Laverack succumbed to his injuries.

Two people were killed early Saturday morning on Route 42 in South Jersey, near Route 55. New Jersey State Police say major delays were caused by the accident which occurred around 4am. The accident involved a dump truck and a car.
Governor Phil Murphy has signed a new bill into law that prevents the federal government from drilling for oil in state waterways. The bill earned bipartisan support in Trenton. Murphy says the new bill makes it very difficult for the feds from drilling in waters off the Garden State.
Atlantic County prosecutors completed a sweep of deadbeat moms and dads this week. The sweep resulted in over $6,000 being recovered, with 28 arrests and six criminal warrant arrests. Over 100 active addresses were checked.
