A 61 year old man on board a fishing boat was medevaced by the United States Coast Guard Wednesday off the coast of Cape May. The unidentified man was hoisted off the boat and taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. No word on the man’s identity or condition.
The final three defendants associated with the murder of April Kauffman will be sentenced Thursday morning. One of them is 53 year old Joseph Mulholland of the Villas who participated in an illegal opioid ring. He would receive drugs from Dr. James Kauffman, and hand them off to another individual.
The Casino Control Commission has approved a transfer of ownership of the Ocean Resort Casino. The Commission met Wednesday and approved the transfer to the Luxor Capital Group, even though the casino lost $23 million during its first five months of operations. The Ocean Resort used to be the Revel Casino.
A 64 year old school bus driver from Burlington County has been charged with watching pornography in front of children. State Police say Franck Lafortune watched the porn on the school bus with children present on Monday. He allegedly viewed the smut on his cell phone and children saw what was on the phone.

County health officials say the individual was potentially infected from January 27th for a four day period. Fire caused heavy damage to a home in Millville Tuesday night. A home on East Sassafras Street caught on fire and crews from other fire companies were called in to assist. No word yet on the cause of the fire, and no reports of injuries.

The future ownership of the Ocean Resort Casino may be decided by the Casino Control Commission on Wednesday. The Commission is expected to hear a complex deal in which Luxor Capital Group would increase its ownership interest and essentially take control of the casino. A designated trustee would be appointed.
