There’s a chance a four-story, $16 million Hampton Inn hotel could come to Middle Township. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the company needs a change in zoning and other approvals before the project can move forward. New Jersey State Police are searching for a man who assaulted a jogger at a park in Northfield on May 7th. Police released a composite sketch of a man who dropped his pants, began masturbating, and then grabbed the woman’s collar. The woman was able to get away and contact authorities.
Three young boys attempted to assault and rob a man on the Atlantic City Boardwalk Monday evening. City police say the boys are between the ages of 12 and 14 and attempted to steal a wallet and cell phone from a 48 year old man. All three kids were found and charged.

Site plans have been approved by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority for a new campus of Stockton University in Atlantic City. A six story dorm may be constructed that will provide an additional 405 beds for students. A company developing the project may seek a big loan to fund construction.
A 28 year old Galloway Township man has been slapped with various drug charges by Township police. Authorities say Jeffrey C. Martin was found with over 500 bags of heroin in his possession when he was arrested. Martin was arrested after a citizen reported seeing a drug deal.
Cape May County has kicked off its annual Coastal Water Monitoring Program. The program will result in 61 ocean and one back bay recreational site being tested weekly for bacteria and other issues. The program operates under the Cape May County Department of Health.
A 35 year old fireman from Pitman lost his life early Sunday morning during a motorcycle accident in Dennis Township. State Police say Jason Fisher was killed when his motorcycle went off County Road 625 and struck a guardrail. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
