Avalon has moved its Memorial Day ceremony inside Monday morning due to the continued threat of wet weather. The ceremony will be held at Avalon Community Hall at 9am at 30th Street and the beach. The annual parade has been cancelled.

The first Wildwood Crest Summer Concert of the season has been postponed due to the threat of storms in our area. The Chatterband was supposed to former Sunday night in the Crest; the concert will be rescheduled at a date to be determined later this summer.

Three people were plucked from the waters of the Delaware Bay Friday evening when their 21 foot catamaran capsized near the Ferry dock in Lewes, Delaware. All three adults were rescued safely and taken to the Cape May Lewes Ferry terminal, with no injuries. The owner of the boat is arranging for its salvage.
The Apple Store in Atlantic City will be closing at the end of next month. Store officials confirm that the store closing will cost more than 50 jobs. The closest Apple stores are now in Marlton and Cherry Hill. Apple says a decrease in tourism to Atlantic City is the reason for the store’s closing.
