A tornado touched down in Mullica Hill Thursday night. The National Weather Service confirms that a small twister touched land in the community, with a wide funnel and causing minor damage. Authorities will be in Mullica Hill today to determine the extend of the damage.

The Lower Township Police Department has received donations for Narcan from the CURE ministry of the Lighthouse Church in Burleigh, and the Greg DiAntonio Memorial Foundation of Wildwood. When applied immediately, Narcan can save a life during an opioid overdose. Narcan has been used in the United States for nearly a half century.

The Sandy Hook Foundation summer beach concert series has now been called off because the bird’s nest is within 1,000 meters of the concerts. The Ventnor woman accused of killing her mother and grandmother with a motive of greed will have a court appearance on Thursday. Heather Barbera is accused of killing both women last July and her appearance may result in a trial date being set. She pleaded not guilty to the crime in October.
One woman was injured during a single vehicle accident in Margate Wednesday afternoon that resulted on the vehicle resting on its driver’s side. Police say the accident occurred on Jerome Avenue. The unidentified driver was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital, her condition is unknown.
Tom Feraco is returning as the boys basketball coach at Middle Township High School.
