Several men appeared in court Friday, the latest charged in a massive prescription fraud case that cheated the public workers health insurance programs. Among those charged were a Ventnor police officer, two firemen from Margate, and the co-owner of Tony’s Baltimore Grill in Atlantic City, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
The Cumberland County man who killed his wife by stabbing her 90 times will be spending the rest of his life in prison. Jeremiah Monell received the life sentence in court Friday. He brutally killed Tara O’Shea-Watson at their home in Commercial Township, in front of her children.
Sea Isle City’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday. The parade will step off at 3:30pm along Landis Avenue, from 83rd Street to 63rd Street. A best dressed competition will be held at a local bar in advance of the parade.
Cape May County Surrogate Dean Marcolongo has been named to serve on the Judiciary Surrogate Liaison Committee by the New Jersey Supreme Court. His three year term will run through the end of 2021. Another problem for the EZ Pass toll collection system involving New Jersey, and other states, on Thursday. Officials say the EZ Pass website went down for a second time on Thursday, making it impossible for drivers to dispute tickets or add more money on to their accounts. A 33 year old Villas man was arrested Tuesday after he stood outside of the Lower Township Public Safety Building, armed with a knife, asking police to shoot him. Brian E.
