Some animals perished, and vehicles were damaged during a late night barn fire last night in Upper Pittsgrove Township, Salem County. State Police say the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and the cause is undetermined.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday in North Wildwood for Ralph Ransom, who passed away last week at the age of 84. Ransom was the former owner of the Ugly Mug in Cape May, and he worked for decades at the former Marine National Bank. Services will be held at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home.
