The new “Recycle Coach” app is being used in Avalon that will notify residents, visitors, and property owners about solid waste collection practices. An alleged murder in the small community of Corbin City. State Police say 60 year old Kenneth Lea was beaten to death Sunday night, allegedly by the boyfriend of his daughter. Charged in connection with the murder is Lawrence Reid.
56 year old William McNeal of Wildwood has been arrested and charged on multiple counts of heroin and cocaine possession. County authorities announced that a search warrant was executed at his home on Maple Avenue and the drugs were found. McNeal was allegedly dealing drugs in the city; he’s holed up in the County Jail.
30 year old Nicholas Abbati has been convicted on charges that he killed Jahlil Hunter and attempted to kill another woman. Police say the murder took place back in 2015 in Pleasantville. Hunter died less than two weeks after he was attacked. Abbati will be sentenced for his crime on May 10th.

50 year old Paul Kline of Ocean City pleaded guilty last month to killing his 54 year old girlfriend back in July, 2017. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Kline will be sentenced on a charge of aggravated manslaughter on March 27th. Kline admitted to taking the life of Denise Tarves Webber via strangulation.
Governor Phil Murphy says there is still a ways to go before marijuana will be legal in New Jersey. Millville’s Mike Trout may get a section of Route 55 named after him. A bill is moving through Trenton that would name part of the highway the “Mike Trout Interchange”. Trout on Tuesday signed a $430 million extension with the Los Angeles Angels.
A 52 year old man was medevaced off a cruise ship about 100 miles off the coast of Atlantic City on Tuesday. The Coast Guard says the man was unconscious on the pool deck of the cruise ship. The man was eventually taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
