Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam will hold a press conference later this morning in advance of a Council meeting where the city’s budget will be discussed. Gilliam is expected to discuss terms of the budget which may include no additional spending. Council meets Wednesday afternoon.
Ocean City will be conducting a water rescue drill on Tuesday. The drill will involve multiple agencies and will occur near the Route 52 Causeway. The United States Coast Guard will participate in the drill, which will be monitored from the Welcome Center.
A 33 year old woman from Vineland was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Millville Sunday morning. Police say the accident occurred on Fairton Road. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene; her identity has not been released.

One of Sea Isle City’s signature events returns on June 22nd through the 24th. Stallion Marketing announced that the annual food truck festival will return on those dates and will be held at Kixx in Sea Isle City. There will be food, crafters, games and music on all three days.

Sports betting is now law in the Garden State, and the first bets will be placed at Monmouth Racetrack Thursday morning. Governor Murphy signed the measure that was approved by lawmakers this month. Sports betting will begin on the same day as the World Cup soccer tournament, which should bring in revenue.
