Students who attend the Technical Education Center in Cumberland County may be permitted to soon play sports in their home school districts. The Daily Journal reports that principals from Millville, Cumberland Regional, and Cumberland County could start negotiations next week on the deal. Former Philadelphia mayor and former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell announced Monday that he is suffering the effects from Parkinson’s Disease. Rendell held a press conference Monday to announce that’s he undergoing treatment. The 74 year old Rendell has had symptoms for over three years.
Six people were rescued from a boat near Ocean City on Sunday as the vessel caught on fire. A Coast Guard vessel rescued all six people on the boat; the boat’s fire was extinguished and taken to a marina in Somers Point. There were no injuries.
